One Night in Beijing

Arrival! 7 Feb 06

We finally arrived at Beijing. After months of waiting and anticipating, now we are really doing it. And it is super cold!!

First thing to do getting off the plane on 0615hrs in the morning .. coffee!!


It snowed the day before we arrived (6th Feb). According to Mary姐，it seldom snows and the coldest days are those right after the day it snowed.

And boy is she right. Thank you jc, von, derrick, roland, annie and char! For giving me presents of the earmuffs and handgloves. If not I think my ears and fingers would have dropped off on the first day already.





Well, I wasn't without any first day jitters anyway. Although I felt calm about the trip, I left my handphone at home and found out in time to turn back to pick it up. The same happened to my handcarry bagpack in Beijing International Airport. Our 四惠东 ladies neighbours had it worsed ... they broke the key in the keyhole, and all of us never got back home until it was 11 plus at night. And then we tidied and unpacked our new home until quite late. And that was first day.
